I found an old apple in the fridge and I thought it would make the perfect subject for this project. I went around my kitchen to begin with, finding different things to do to the apple. I tried putting it in the microwave, but those shots didn't turn out the way I wanted or thought it would, so I moved on the oven. Got some great shots there, went to the sink, got some nice photos of the running water on the apple. Then I was stuck for the third scene. I couldn't really find any more cool places for the apple in the kitchen so I went upstairs to my room. I decided to put my apple on my candle and capture the smoke escaping from under it. The last ones with the smoke were the ones I favoured most.

For this series of photos, Manjot and I skytrained, got lost, bussed, and got lost even more to get to Lynn Canyon park. I thought of Lynn Canyon because I had gone there two summers ago and the creek was absolutely beautiful. We went off-trail to get right beside the creek, as you can see. It was raining heavily the whole time, so it was a struggle to keep our equipment safe. It was cloudy in North Van, so while editing I had to amp up the vibrancy in the greenery surrounding the creek. We ended up getting some amazing shots which I'm pretty proud of.
For this project I went to the Tynehead Park in Surrey and looked for scenery that captures the essence of British Columbia. This particular picture shows the bright blue skies and tall trees of BC. I like this picture the best out of the three because I like the contrast in the image. The sun behind the trees creates dark silhouettes which clearly contrasts from the much brighter sky. I think it creates a sort of emotion or feeling of being in darkness.
