The theme for this week was portraits using one low light source. For my subject I used my friend, Manjot. I tried a dim yellow light in a few angles but the pictures just weren't looking the way I wanted them to. I added the light from the flashlight on my iPhone and got blueish tones. This blue light made me really excited since I like dark, cold pictures, so these pictures fit my photography style pretty well. I later used Photoshop to eliminate objects in the background and enhance the brightness in Manjot's face.

I've decided to make up my own themes for the weekly photo challenges. I looked up ideas online and found some helpful websites. One of them suggested a monochromatic theme, meaning composing of one colour or shade. In this project I used different types of citrus fruits and captured the detail and bright colours of the insides of them. I used Photoshop to enhance the colour and brightness of my photos and I think they turned out amazing.
